Now Hiring Payroll Administrator for our Athens and Cumming Locations

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
This position is a primary customer interface with our client’s and client employees for data collection, processing of payroll and as a result collection and disbursement of funds.

Essential Functions

  1. Read and understand hiring forms.
  2. On-boarding of client’s new employees using the client’s specific hiring process, including: paperwork completion, pre-employment drug screens, background checks, reference checks, E-verify, etc.
  3. Maintain employee files
  4. Compile payroll data such as Garnishments, PTO time, taxes, deductions and benefits.
  5. Collect data from electronic time clocks and review the data for accuracy
  6. Ability to communicate issues effectively to customers related to time and attendance data, employee related issues
  7. Process payroll data in an enterprise software system
  8. Maintain employee files.
  9. Other activities as required from time to time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Nominal hours are 9-5 Monday through Thursday and 9-2 on Friday

Tuesday and Wednesday are the primary payroll processing days and it the work may require that the people in this role work late on these days. Occasionally, customer needs may dictate Overtime, work on weekends additional hours around the winter holiday season.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or one or more years of related experience
  2. At least one year of experience in processing of payroll.
